Every Monday and Thursday, GG Academy turns into New Jersey’s home for competitive Smash. Whether you're pulling up for your very first bracket or you're chasing ranked points against players who've made a name for themselves regionally and nationally — there's a night here for you.

Monday Beginner friendly

Rookie Round Robin

New to tournaments? Tired of getting bodied in bracket-style events where one bad game sends you home? Rookie Round Robin is built for you. Everyone plays everyone, once — no elimination, no pressure, just reps against real opponents in a room that wants you to get better.

Format: Round robin — play every entrant once, best record wins
When: Mondays, 7:30 PM
Entry: $10
Turnout: Typically 8–20 entrants
Age: No requirement — all ages welcome
Perfect for: Players who are newer to competitive Smash, want consistent practice, or just don't love high-stakes bracket pressure.

Thursday Flagship

Transcendence

Where New Jersey’s — and the world's best — come to prove it. Transcendence is our flagship competitive night: double elimination, cash prize, and a bracket that has featured state-ranked, nationally-ranked, and even world-ranked competitors. If you want to test your Smash against serious players, this is the tournament that counts.

Format: Double elimination bracket
When: Thursdays, 7:30 PM
Entry: $20 — $10 goes directly into the prize pool
Turnout: Almost always 20+ entrants
Age: No requirement — all ages welcome
