General/ Walk-in FAQs
Q: “Can I sign into my own account?”
A: “Yes! As long as you know your login information you’re welcome to sign into all of your accounts. Our computers also do not save any logins, so even if you forget to sign out, your information will be wiped upon the PC restarting!”
Q: “What are the specs of the pcs and peripherals?”
A: Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 Ti. Processor:
13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700F. Ram:32 GB. Monitors: 1440p 240Hz. Mice: XPG Primer. Keyboard: XPG Primer. Headset: Varies, multiple different options.
Q: Can I switch between games and / or consoles once I start playing?
A: Yes! Ask any of our staff members and they will gladly help change your game or console to whatever you would like!
Q: If I have a game that you guys do not have, can I download it and play it?
A: Yes! As long as you own the game on one of your accounts and are able to download it you are welcome to! If you plan on coming regularly to play that game as well, let us know and we will do our best to acquire the game and download it on our server so it’s ready for you any time you come in!
Q: Do you accept walkins or do I need to reserve a station?
A: Walk-ins are welcome as long as we have no events currently going on. Refer to our calendar page to see what events are
happening on any given day. Depending on the size of the event sometimes we can take walkins during events, so give us a call if you are interested!
Tournament FAQs
- Q: Is there a minimum / maximum age for the tournaments?
A: Generally, no minimum or maximum age is required for our tournaments, but generally our Fortnite Friday Events have kids from 7-15 years old, and for our smash bros tournaments, players are almost always at least 15, with the majority being 18+.
- Q: How is prizing determined for each tournament?
A: With fortnite friday, $10 of every entry fee is contributed directly to the prize pool, so total prizing is $10 multiplied by the amount of entrants on that night. Distribution is either Top 1, 2, or 3 get prizing, depending on the number of entrants. For smash bros, if a tournament has 20+ entrants, $10 of each person's entry fee is contributed directly to the prize pool. If there are less than 20 entrants, $8 of each person's entry fee is contributed directly to
the prize pool. Distribution is either top 3 or top 4 get prizing, depending on number of entrants.
- Q: If I am eliminated from a tournament, can I stay until the tournament is over?
A: Yes! For Fortnite, you can continue playing for fun even after you are eliminated. For smash bros, you can hang out and watch the rest
of the tournament or play friendlies with other eliminated players (as long as there is an open setup not being used for the tournament)
- Q: If I don’t want to participate in a tournament but would
like to attend, is there a spectator fee?
A: Yes. $5 spectator fee and you are welcome to play friendlies upon availability as a spectator as well.
- Q: Do you livestream your events anywhere?
A: We try to stream as many events as we can on our twitch channel, which can be found at twitch.tv/gamersgrovegg.
Trading Card Game/Sports Cards FAQ
- Q: Do you buy cards?
A:Yes! As with everything it depends on what cards you have, but as of now we will consider buying either your Pokemon or Sports Cards. We typically buy with cash at a minimum 70% market price,
sometimes higher depending on the items you have.
- Q: Can we trade in our cards for items in your store?
A: Yes! For trades we give a higher rate than we do if we were buying your cards with cash, usually starting at 75%, but could be higher depending on the items you have.
- Q: Do we get new and upcoming sets on release days?
A: As of now, typically no. In the future the goal will be to have products on release days for new releases and we will let people know once we are at that point!
Party FAQs
- Q: If I originally thought (x) number of kids were coming and a couple of them cancelled last minute, is the price of the party adjusted?
A: Yes! The price is based on the amount of kids who show up on the day of the party. If you are expecting more kids than originally decided on, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate the setup.
- Q: Are kids able to switch games once they choose one or do
they need to stay on one game for the duration of the party?
A: Kids are welcome to change and try out any different game throughout the party, although they are welcome to stay on one game the whole time if they are enjoying it! Please allow our staff a few minutes to assist each child when swapping games but we are happy to do so upon request!
- Q: Do you have a freezer for ice cream cake or other frozen
deserts?
A: No, but we can leave it with the neighboring coffee or pizza shop
during the party until it's time to have it. Just let us know in advance if you plan on bringing anything that needs a freezer so we can accommodate!
STEM Classes FAQ
- Q: If I want to sign up for a class but none of the time
slots available work for me, is it possible to schedule a session outside of the listed time slots?
A: Yes! Just give us a call and we can work out a time
and day that works for everybody.
- Q: Is any previous experience required or are classes
beginner friendly?
A: No experience is needed to attend our classes! Our
instructors will adjust to each student's aptitude, whether that's beginner or expert.
- Q: Do students take home materials or projects built in the
classes?
A: Varies depending on the class. For example, in 3D Printing students can take home all creations which they make, while in lego robotics, students do not take home any of the materials used to build their creations.
